OAI-PMH
The Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH) base URL of PANGAEA is http://ws.pangaea.de/oai/provider; documentation and a browsing interface can be found here: http://ws.pangaea.de/oai/
The OAI service provides
- DC metadata example
- ISO 19139 metadata
- DIF metadata
- DataCite metadata
- da|ra metadata (for Qualiservice metadata)
- internal PANGAEA XML schema.
While harvesting without any set spec, the system will provide all datasets. The type of datasets could be specified (e.g. projects, or water/sediment/athmosphere data). To get all citable top-level data sets, citable should be used as set name, e.g.
